Of course, we all want to be ourselves and embrace what we actually are. But can we? I am still one of those people, who is constantly worried about what others think and always correcting myself to be the way the world wants me to be. But, we can never really make everyone happy. Let’s stop trying to be perfect for this world and start embracing our scars. It is you, who is going to be with you, no matter what, start trusting yourself.

I know, easier said than done, but once you enjoy being you there is no going back. We are all The Cinderella in our own stories and we should start accepting ourselves than complaining about our flaws. Who knows if Cinderella was as perfect as she is described by our Disney stories? Maybe even she had her own imperfections. But, can you really think of any childhood stories that we heard, where beauty was not in the concept?? It was always “Sleeping beauty” “Beauty and the Beast” etc etc. And since childhood, it has always been in our minds that we should look pretty and wear gorgeous clothes and blah-blah.

My mom always told me since I was a kid, “If you are not good from the inside, then no matter how beautiful you are on the outside, it’s not going to matter”. I thought she told this to keep me away from the mirror, but no, beauty is actually present in your words and actions. It’s your work and contributions that define who you really are.

Let’s take a break from social media and start analyzing ourselves, we all have so much potential that we are still unaware of. Don't get influenced by those Instagram Influencers, stop worrying about likes or comments. Who cares if you have fewer followers, stop comparing yourself to someone else.

It is completely okay if you are not a singer or a dancer or not a master of any art. It’s absolutely fine if you think your life is crappy and not the way you planned it to be. Being yourself is the biggest gift you can give yourself.

“Follow your inner moonlight; don’t hide the madness.” — Allen Ginsberg

STOP worrying about being perfect and start accepting what you really are. Start expressing what you feel and do what feels you right! Take a trip to an unknown place, discover yourself. When we stop thinking about others' opinions, half the problem is solved, just get in there and do what it feels like and who knows you might set a new trend!

Be Kind! Be Positive! Be You!
